|Short grain rice/Brown rice||1⁄4 Pound|
|Brewer's yeast||4 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce/Maggi||2 Teaspoon|
|Stewing tomatoes||1 Can (10 oz), broken in small pieces|
|Onion powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Wash the lentils thoroughly.
Add lentils, barley, rice and salt to a large pan and cover with plenty of water.
Cook on low heat until done.
Delicious cooked in a crock pot for several hours.
(Can cook while you work.)
When done, add brewer's yeast, Maggi or soy sauce, stewing tomatoes and onion powder.
Pottage should be moist.
May bake in a 9" x 12" dish if desired.
Bake, covered, for 35 minutes at 350 degrees or may be eaten as is.
Note: High protein when served with 100% whole wheat bread & served with a fruit dish.
