Bean Bars

Ingredients
  Whole wheat pastry flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Nonfat dry milk powder 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Vegetable oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Applesauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cooked beans/One 16 ounce can, well drained 2 Cup (32 tbs), drained (Use Green Or Wax Variety)
  Chopped walnuts 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Currants 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Confectioner's sugar 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Stir first 8 ingredients in mixing bowl until evenly mixed.
Place egg, oil, applesauce, and beans in blender or food processor; blend smooth.
Pour over dry ingredients; mix well.
Stir in nuts and currants.
Pour into greased 11 1/4 x 7 1/2 x l 1/2 inch pan.
Bake at 350°F 25 to 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar while warm.
Cut into bars.
