|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Melt butter; blend with sugar.
Add egg; beat vigorously.
Measure and add baking powder and salt.
Add dry ingredients to egg/sugar mixture; mix together well.
Add chopped nuts and vanilla.
Spread dough in greased 8x8 inch pan.
Bake at 350Â°F for 30 minutes.
(It does not usually take as long in our oven.) Don't overbake.
Cut |n squares or bars while warm.
