Coconut Nut Bars
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cake flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Coconut||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Beat eggs, add sifted sugar gradually and blend thoroughly.
Add vanilia and flour, baking powder and salt which have been sifted together.
Add chopped coconut and nuts.
Spread over the above, baked mixture and bake in a 325Â° F oven 20 minutes.
Sprinkle top with inted coconut.
