Chocolate Soda Cracker Bars
|Soda crackers||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Butter||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Chocolate chips||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Line a large shallow baking dish or cookie sheet with soda crackers.
Combine the brown sugar and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Boil gently for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour slowly and evenly over the cracker layer.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot sugared soda cracker layer.
Let stand for 10 minutes; spread evenly with a spoon.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Freeze for 2 hours.
Break into pieces.
