Cream Cheese Jam Bars
|All purpose flour/Unbleached flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Pillsbury Best)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened|
|Strawberry/Peach / apricot preserves||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350Â°F Grease (not oil) 13x9 inch pan.
(Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.) In large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients; blend at low speed until crumbly.
Press 2 cups crumb mixture into greased pan.
In small bowl, blend Filling ingredients until smooth.
Spread evenly over crust.
Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture; press lightly.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
Cool; cut into bars.
Store in refrigerator.
