Maple Bars

  Yeast 3 Tablespoon
  Warm water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Honey/Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 3
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon flavor 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk/Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Whole wheat flour 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)
  Cooking oil 3 Cup (48 tbs) (For Frying)
  All purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Maple frost 3 Tablespoon (For Glazing)

In Bosch bowl, soften yeast in 1/4 cup water.
Add the margarine, sugar or honey, eggs, salt, vanilla, lemon flavoring, milk or water, and flours.
Knead 10 minutes.
Cover, and let rise 1 hour.
Stir down, and turn out onto a lightly oiled surface.
Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness, and cut into oblong shapes, approximately 3 inches long.
Deepfat fry in 360° oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper toweling.
While still warm, glaze with Maple Frosting.
