Camembert Bars

Ingredients
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Camembert cheese 4 1⁄2 Ounce, cubed, with rind removed
  Cream cheese 4 Ounce, softened
  Chopped fresh chives 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Frozen puff pastry 17 1⁄4 Ounce, thawed
Directions

Combine all ingredients except puff pastry in a mixing bowl, beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until blended.
Roll one sheet puff pastry to a 14 x 10-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Spread cheese mixture over pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border on all sides.
Roll out remaining sheet of puff pastry to a 14 x 10-inch rectangle, and set aside.
Dip fingers in water, and moisten borders of puff pastry on baking sheet.
Place remaining puff pastry sheet on top.
Using a fork dipped in flour, press pastry edges firmly together.
Cut horizontal slits, 2 inches apart, in top pastry.
Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Using horizontal slits as a guide, slice horizontally 2 inches apart, then slice vertically 2 inches apart.
Serve warm.
