Maple Nut Bars

Ingredients
  Yellow cake mix 10 Ounce (Pillsbury Plus, Reserve 0.5 Cup For Filling)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Margarine/Butter 2 Tablespoon, softened (Parkay)
  Egg 1
  Chopped nuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Cake mix 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Corn syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Filling)
  Margarine 3 Tablespoon, softened (Parkay)
  Maple extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Heat oven to 350°F.
Grease 13x9-inch pan.
In large bowl, combine cake mix, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons margarine and egg at low speed until crumbly; stir in 1/4 cup nuts.
Press in bottom of prepared pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
In small bowl, beat 2 eggs until foamy.
Add 2/3 cup reserved cake mix, 1/4 cup brown sugar, corn syrup, 3 tablespoons margarine and maple extract.
Beat 1 minute at low speed until well mixed.
Pour over crust; sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts.
Return to oven and bake 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown (center will be soft).
Cool completely; cut into bars.
