Peppermint Bark - Christmas Food Gift Idea

If you need a last minute Christmas gift idea, make this Holiday Peppermint Bark! It's so easy to make and your friends and family will love it. It's so festive and delicious!

Ingredients

Bittersweet chocolate chips 10 Ounce
White chocolate chips 10 Ounce ((the real stuff))
Peppermint oil 1 Teaspoon , divided
Candy canes 6 Ounce , crushed with a rolling pin ((12 large))

Directions

MAKING

1. In a glass bowl, place bittersweet chocolate chips and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring after each session, until fully melted. You can also melt chocolate in double boiler.

2. Add ½ teaspoon of peppermint oil and mix well.

3. Onto a silicone surface or parchment paper, pour the melted chocolate. Shake the pan from side to side to let the chocolate smooth and flatten out. Place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to let the chocolate harden.

4.Melt the white chocolate, add ½ teaspoon of peppermint oil, mix and pour it over the hardened bittersweet chocolate, then shake the pan from side to side to flatten out.

5. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over top and pop in freezer for 5 minutes or until completely hardened.

SERVING

6. Break into wedges and serve.
