Nutty Date Bars

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Eggs 2
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dates 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Orange marmalade 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine flour, butter, and 1/2 tea spoon vanilla in a medium bowl; blend with pastry cutter until mixture forms a soft dough.
Press into a greased 11- x 7-x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Beat eggs until foamy in a small mixing bowl.
Stir in remaining ingredients until mixed well; spread on crust layer.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes longer or until top is set and browned.
Cool; cut into bars.
