Sunflower Seed Walnut Bars
|Oil||12 Fluid Ounce (350 Milliliter)|
|Honey||12 Fluid Ounce (350 Milliliter)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Plain wholemeal flour||1 1⁄2 Pound (675 Gram)|
|Vanilla essence||2 Drop|
|Grated orange rind||2 Tablespoon|
|Orange juice||4 Tablespoon|
|Unsweetened coconut||2 Ounce, shredded (50 Gram)|
|Sunflower seeds||2 Ounce (50 Gram)|
|Walnuts||2 Ounce, chopped (50 Gram)|
1 Preheat the oven to 325°Fahrenheit (160°c / Gas Mark 3)
2 Grease two 23 x 33-cm (9 x 13-inch) tins.
3 For the bottom layer, in a bowl mix half the oil, a third of the honey, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons baking powder, half the flour and the vanilla essence together.
4 Pat the mixture in to the prepared tins.
5 To prepare the topping, in a bowl, beat 4 eggs with the remaining ingredients.
6 Evenly pour over the bottom layer.
7 Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
8 Allow to cool.
9 Cut into squares and serve.
