Breakfast Treats With Whole Grain Energy Bars

Camilla Saulsbury demonstrates how to make a quick, easy, delicious and healthy whole-grain energy bar.
  Cashew butter 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Brown rice syrup 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ground ginger 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Toasted sesame oil 1 Teaspoon
  Puffed whole grain cereals 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Cashew 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground flaxseed 3 Tablespoon
  Dates 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Apricots 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped

Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Mix nut butter and sweet syrup, put the mixture in a pan and heat on stove over medium heat until it is melted and bubbly. It takes a minute or two for this.
Line a non-stick baking pan with a long sheet of aluminum foil and spray the foil with a non-stick cooking spray.
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Remove the syrup mixture from the stove and add ginger and sesame oil to it. Pour it over cereal mixture. Mix it with a wooden spoon or a spatula.
Pour the mixture in the lined baking pan.
Place another aluminum foil over the mixture and press it firmly.You can use a wax paper either.
Once done remove from the foil in the baking pan. Place it on a cutting board and cut with a kitchen knife into bars.
Note :
For the sweet syrup you can use all maple or all brown rice syrup.
For the cereals you can use a variety of cereals including kashi.
