Caramel Nut Bars

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Divided)
  Packed brown sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Quick cooking rolled oats 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Caramel candy 1⁄2 Pound (About 28 In Number)
  Milk 2 Tablespoon
  Confectionery sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped nuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Mix 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar and salt.
Add oats and flour.
Beat at low speed until particles are fine.
Reserve 1 cup.
Press remaining crumbly mixture in 8x8-in dish.
Place dish on inverted saucer in microwave oven.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) 3 to 7 minutes, or just until done; rotate 1/4 turn every 2 minutes.
In 4-cup measure or small mixing bowl, combine caramels, milk and 1/4 cup butter.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) 2 to 5 1/2 minutes, or until caramels are soft, stirring every 2 minutes.
Blend well.
Stir in confectioners' sugar and nuts.
Spread over base.
Sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture.
Microwave 3 to 8 minutes, or until topping bubbles in several places, rotating 1/4 turn every 3 minutes.
Cool directly on countertop.
