Spicy Raisin Bars

Ingredients
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salad oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sifted confectioners sugar 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Put raisins in blender.
Add water; cool.
Sift together flour, soda, and spices.
Set aside.
Add next 4 ingredients to raisins in blender container; blend just till nuts are coarsely chopped.
Pour over dry ingredients; mix well.
Pour into greased 15 1/2 x10 1/2 x 1-inch baking pan.
Bake at 375° about 12 minutes.
Cool; cut in bars.
Dust with sugar.
