Smucker's Crimson Ribbon Bars

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 6 Tablespoon, softened
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (firmly packed)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Rolled oats 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Figs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Red raspberry preserves 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine butter, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until well blended.
Add flour and baking soda; mix well.
Stir in oats and walnuts.
Reserve 3/4 cup oat mixture for topping.
Press remaining oat mixture into 8-inch square baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Combine figs and preserves; spread over oat mixture leaving 1/2-inch border.
Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture; press lightly.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool in pan; cut into bars.
