|Firmly packed light brown sugar||18 Tablespoon (1 Cup Plus 2 Tablespoons)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup flour with granulated sugar and butter. Stir until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press into bottom of an ungreased 8-inch square pan. Bake 15 minutes. Remove toa rack. Leave oven on.
2. In a medium bowl, beat together brown sugar, eggs, remaining 2 tablespoons flour, and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Pour over crust.
3. Return to oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until filling is set. Remove pan to rack, cut into bars, and let cool completely in pan before serving.
