Toffee Bars

Ingredients
  Margarine/Butter melted 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Oats 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Unsifted flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finely chopped
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned milk 15 Ounce (Not Evaporated)
  Vanilla extract 2 Teaspoon
  Semisweet chocolate chips 6 Ounce (1 Package)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine 6 tablespoons margarine, oats, sugar, flour, nuts and baking soda.
Press firmly on bottom of greased 13x9-inch baking pan; bake 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine remaining 2 tablespoons margarine and sweetened condensed milk.
Over medium heat, cook and stir until mixture thickens slightly, about 15 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Pour over crust.
Return to oven; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until golden brown.
Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle chips on top.
Let stand 1 minute; spread while still warm.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
Store tightly covered at room temperature.
