Peanut Butter Bars
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Smooth peanut butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Roasted peanuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Microwave butter in a 2-quart casserole at HIGH 30 seconds to soften.
Add brown sugar, peanut butter, and egg.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Add flour and peanuts to brown sugar mixture.
Stir until smooth.
Pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Microwave at MEDIUM 5 to 7 minutes.
Rotate dish 1/2 turn after 3 minutes.
Let stand directly on the counter to cool slightly before cutting into bars.
