Applesauce And Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients
  Flour 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Quick oatmeal 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs) (With Pinch Of Nutmeg And Cinnamon)
  Nutmeg 1 Pinch
  Cinnamon 1 Pinch
Directions

1) Mix flour, sugar and shortening together. Add oats.
2) In 8 x 8 inch pan, put half the mixture and pat down with hands, pour applesauce over top of mixture, staying about 1/2 inch from sides. Cover with remaining oat mixture and pat firmly. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
