Cinnamon Coffee Bars
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Hot coffee||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Gold medal flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Quick cream icing||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Heat oven to 350°
Mix together shortening, sugar, and egg.
Stir in coffee.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Stir dry ingredients together; stir in.
Blend in raisins and nuts.
Spread in greased and floured oblong pan, 13 x 9 1/2 x 2".
Bake 18 to 20 min.
Cut in 3x1 1/2" bars.
Frost while warm with thin coating of Icing.
