Black Walnut Bar Cookies
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|All purpose flour||1 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Flaked coconut||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Black walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup flour.
Cut in the butter.
Press into a 10-inch square pan and bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
Mix 1 cup brown sugar with beaten eggs, salt, 1 teaspoon flour, vanilla extract, coconut and black walnuts.
Put this on the previously baked crust and return to oven.
Bake for 20 minutes at 375°.
Remove and cool before cutting into bars or squares.
