Ingredients
  Packed brown sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Molasses 2 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Gold Medal)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Hot water 3 Tablespoon
  Almonds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), slivered
  Raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Heat oven to 400°
Mix brown sugar, eggs, molasses, butter, and vanilla thoroughly.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend flour, salt, soda, and spices; stir in.
Mix in hot water.
Stir in almonds, raisins, and mincemeat.
Spread dough thin
