Choco-Chewy Scotch Bars
|Semi sweet chocolate morsels||12 Ounce (1 Package Or 2 Cups)|
|Sweetened condensed milk||15 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs), melted|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Pound (1 Box Or 2 1/2 Cups)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flaked coconut||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Melt chocolate morsels with condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter In top of double boiler, over boiling water; blend until smooth.
Combine 1 cup melted butter, brown sugar, and eggs in large mixing bowl.
Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture and blend well.
Stir in vanilla extract, pecans and coconut; mix well.
Spread half of dough in ungreased 15x10-inch jelly roll pan.
Drizzle chocolate mixture over dough in pan.
Dot top of chocolate mixture with remaining dough.
Swirl slightly with tip of knife.
Bake at 350 ° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool: cut into bars.
