Dried Fruit Dream Bars

Ingredients
  Dried fruit 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (Apricots, Figs, Prunes, Raisins / Peaches)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeats 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Powdered sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cut butter into sugar and 1 cup of the flour until mixture is crumbly.
Press firmly into bottom of greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
Beat eggs thoroughly with vanilla; gradually beat in brown sugar.
Sift remaining 1/3 cup flour with baking powder and salt; add fruit and nuts, and mix.
Stir flour mixture into egg mixture.
Spread evenly over the baked layer.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes more.
Cool on a rack.
Cut into bars.
Roll in powdered sugar.
