Chocolate Date And Nut Bars

Ingredients
  Eggs 2
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Chocolate flavored syrup 6 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Walnut meats 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped into small pieces
Directions

Beat eggs thoroughly; gradually beat in sugar.
Sift flour and baking powder; add to egg-sugar mixture; then add chocolate syrup, vanilla, nuts and dates.
Beat mixture together; spread in a greased shallow 9x9-inch pan.
Bake in a 350 F oven for 25 minutes.
Cool.
Cut into 1 x 3-inch strips.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
