Pear Mince Oatmeal Bars
|Butter/Margarine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), softened|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oats||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Anjou pears||2 , cored and chopped|
|Prepared mincemeat||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
|Grated lemon peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 375°F Cream butter and sugar.
Stir in flour, oats, nuts, salt and baking soda until crumbly.
Press 2/3 of flour mixture into ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
Combine pears, mincemeat, lemon juice and peel; spread over crumb crust.
Top with remaining crumb mixture; pat lightly.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is golden.
