These Peanut Butter Bars feature on my breakfast menu almost everyday, because I simply cannot live without them. Don't you think, chocolate chips, oats and creamy peanut butter a reason enough for me to substitute my conventional breakfasts with this bars . when I'm busy enough to not have time for cooking myself a meal ? Try these Peanut Butter Bars yourself and let me know if you agree with me.
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Creamy peanut butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Quick cooking oats 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Semisweet chocolate chips 6 Ounce (1 Cup)
  Confectioners sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Creamy peanut butter 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 2 Tablespoon

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugars and peanut butter.
Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
Combine the flour, oats, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
Spread into a greased 13-in.x 9-in.x 2-in.baking pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool 10 minutes.
Combine icing ingredients; drizzle over bars.
