Scrumptious Chocolate Layer Bars
|Semi-sweet chocolate chips||12 Ounce (2 Cups, 1 Package)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Evaporated milk||5 Ounce (1/2 Cup Plus 2 Tablespoon, 1 Can)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sesame seeds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), unsifted|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine chocolate chips, cream cheese and evaporated milk in medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat; stir in walnuts, sesame seeds and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
Blend well; set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in large mixer bowl; blend well on low speed until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press half the mixture in greased 13x9-inch pan; spread with chocolate mixture.
Sprinkle rest of crumbs over filling.
Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool; cut into bars.
