Simple Banana Fry
|Mustard seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cumin seeds||1 Teaspoon (jeera)|
|Coconut powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Dhaniya powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Turmeric powder||To Taste|
|Chilly powder||To Taste|
Peel & Cut plantains into half inch cubes.
Heat 5 tbs oil in a skillet. Add mustard seeds & allow them to splutter; Then add cumin seeds, onions, turmeric powder, crushed garlic pods & curry leaves. Saute until the garlic turns brownish.
Add the plantain cubes & Mix well. Add half cup water, just enough to cook the plantains. Cover with lid.
Cook for about 5 minutes. Add salt, chilly powder, coconut powder & dhaniya powder. Mix well.
Cook until water evaporates completely. Dry Fry for 2 minutes.
