Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Banana 1 Cup (16 tbs), mashed
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Wheat germ 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), untoasted
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Semi sweet chocolate chips 6 Ounce
  Almonds 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
Directions

MAKING
1. In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy, add banana and vanilla.
2. Add mixed together, flour, wheat germ, baking soda, salt and stir well. Add chocolate chips and ½ cup almonds and fold well.

FINALISING
3. In a 13x9x2-inch baking pan, spread the mixture evenly and sprinkle with remaining almonds.
4. In a preheated oven, bake at 225 degrees centigrade for about 25 minutes, until brown.
5. Cool and cut into bars.

SERVING
6. Serve cool.
