Maple Baked Bananas
|Bananas||4 , peeled|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Maple syrup||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Dark rum||2 Tablespoon|
|Ice cream||1 Cup (16 tbs) (adjust quantity as needed)|
Cut bananas into 1 1/2-inch (4 cm) thick slices and place in single layer in buttered 4-cup (1 L) baking dish.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Pour syrup over and dot with butter.
Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 20 minutes, turning bananas 2 or 3 times during baking.
To flambe: Just before serving, warm rum, if using, and ignite; pour over bananas.
