2. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook potatoes until tender but still firm.
3. Let them cool down until they are easy to handle.
4. Peel and slice potatoes into 1/4 inch pieces.
5. In a buttered casserole, make alternate layers of potatoes and bananas; dot each layer with butter and sugar.
6. End the top layer with bananas.
7. Pour orange juice all over and place the dish in oven and bake for 30 minutes.
