Banana Refrigerator Dessert
|Graham cracker crumbs||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs) (Prepared From 16 Squares)|
|Granulated sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Confectioners sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Banana||1 , mashed|
|Canned chopped maraschino cherries||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), drained|
|Whipping cream/1 envelope about 2 ounces dessert topping mix||1 Cup (16 tbs), chilled|
Mix cracker crumbs, granulated sugar and melted butter thoroughly.
Press half of the mixture firmly and evenly in bottom of ungreased square pan, 8 X 8 X 2 inches.
Beat 1/2 cup butter, the confectioners' sugar and egg in small mixer bowl until light and fluffy: Spread carefully over crumb mixture in pan.
Mix nuts, mashed banana and chopped cherries.
Spread over butter mixture.
In chilled bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff.
Spread Over banana layer.
Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
