Golden Garden Relish
|Finely shredded cabbage||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Chopped banana pepper||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Thinly sliced celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped sweet red pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|White vinegar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground turmeric||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground white pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, and toss well.
Combine vinegar, sugar, mustard, turmeric, salt, and white pepper in a small saucepan; stir with a Wire whisk until well blended.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Pour over vegetable mixture; toss Well.
Let stand at room temperature 20 minutes.
Spoon into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch hgadspace.
Cover at once with metal lids, and screw on bands.
Refrigerate at least 3 days before serving.
