|Firm, green-tipped banana||6|
|Fresh lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cut bananas into halves crosswise and lengthwise.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
Dip into egg beaten with water, then into bread crumbs.
Fry in deep fat (325°F on a frying thermometer) until golden brown.
Drain on absorbent paper.
