|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Orange juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
|Green ginger||1 Inch, peeled and finely diced|
|Bananas||6 , sliced in half lengthways|
Preheat the oven to fairly hot 190°C (Gas Mark 5, 375°F).
Cream the butter and sugar together until they are pale and soft.
Beat in the cloves, orange and lemon juice and ginger.
Lay the bananas on a well-greased medium baking dish and spread the butter mixture over them.
Put the dish into the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the top is bubbling and the bananas are cooked through and tender.
Remove from the oven and serve at once.
