I love plaintains and this Fried Plantains was truly exceptional. This Fried Plantains recipe has a wonderful mix of ingredients. You will thank me for sharing it!
4 (very ripe)
1. Peel plantains. Cut plantains into '/2-inch-thick diagonal slices.
2. In 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in 4 tablespoons hot butter or margarine ( 1/2 stick), cook about one-third of plantains until lightly browned on both sides, about 10 minutes. Remove plantains to warm plate; sprinkle lightly with salt and sugar. Keep warm.
3. Repeat with remaining plantains, adding more butter or margarine as needed.
