Quick Fried Plantains

Fried Plantains is an irresistible recipe that you will surely love to try. A delicious recipe prepared with plantains; I am sure you will enjoy this Fried Plantains!.
Ingredients
  Green plantains 3
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Salt 2 Tablespoon
  Peanut oil/Lard 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying)
Directions

1. Peel the plantains and cut them into diagonal slices about two inches thick.
2. Combine the plantains with the water and salt and soak them for one hour. Drain and fry for five to seven minutes in fat heated to 350° F.
3. Remove the plantains with a slotted spoon and place on absorbent paper. Reserve the cooking fat.
4. Fold the paper over and mash the plantains with the palm of the hand. Return the plantains to the hot fat and cook five to seven minutes longer, turning once. Drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with salt.
