Tongue and Cheese Balls
|Tongue||4 Ounce, chopped|
|Cheese||3 Ounce, grated|
|Crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Crispy Ones, For Coating)|
|Fat||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)|
Make a very thick sauce with the fat, flour and milk.
Add the breadcrumbs, tongue, cheese and seasoning.
Form into balls, coat with beaten egg and roll in crumbs.
Brown in hot fat; if using deep fat they take a very short time, as all the ingredients are cooked.
Drain on crumpled tissue or kitchen paper.
Serve hot with salad.
