Sausage And Cheese Balls
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs), unsifted|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground pork sausage||1⁄2 Pound|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Butter/Margarine||4 Tablespoon, softened (1/2 Stick)|
1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl, then add the sausage, cheese, and butter. Blend well with a wooden spoon or with your hands.
2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls; it should yield about 36 pieces. Place the balls about 1/2 inch apart on a greased 15 1/2"x 10 1/2" x 1" baking sheet and flatten them slightly with the heel of your hand. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pieces are golden brown at the bottom. Serve hot or warm.
