In 2 1/2 quart bowl, combine chocolate pieces and corn syrup.
Cook at HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds, stirring once, or till melted.
Stir till smooth.
Blend in bourbon, vanilla wafer crumbs, powdered sugar, and pecans; mix well.
For easier shaping, let stand 30 minutes.
Form into 1-inch balls.
Roll in granulated sugar.
Let season in covered container for several days.
