Icy Walnut Balls
|All purpose/Self rising flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sweetened condensed milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Orange extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Confectioners sugar||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine flour and brown sugar in mixing bowl.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts.
Place in 13x9-inch pan.
Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crumbs are toasted and golden brown.
Combine milk, orange extract and confectioners' sugar in large mixer bowl.
Stir in dates and 1/2 cup walnuts.
Drop by scant teaspoonfuls into crumb mixture.
Shape into balls, rolling to coat.
Store in refrigerator.
