Country Bacon And Stewed Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 8 (Jowl)
  Green pepper 1 , cut into strips
  Onion 1 , slivered
  Celery stalk 1 , chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), chopped
  Plum tomatoes/2 large beefsteak tomatoes 6 , chopped
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Curry powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sweet basil 1 Pinch
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1 Pinch
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Fry bacon in frying pan.
When white of bacon begins to become clear, add butter and melt it.
Add onion, green pepper, celery and garlic and fry until onion is soft but not brown.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to light boil.
Turn down heat.
Cover; simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
