Mussels In Bacon

  Mussels 36
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bacon slices 18
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 400° F.

MAKING
2) In a heavy kettle, place the scrubed and rinsed mussels in water, steam for 10 minutes and remove from the shells.
3) In a skillet, cook the halved bacon slices until half done. Drain and allow to cool.
4) Wrap the half cooked bacon slice around each mussel and inser a wooden pick.
5) Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes until the bacon is crisp. Drain well.

SERVING
6) Serve immediately in a nice plate.
