Cabbage And Bacon
|Apples||3 , peeled and grated|
|Apple||1 , cut into wedges (For Garnish)|
Chop cabbage into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
Steam for 5 minutes.
Rinse under cold water in colander until cool; drain.
Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.
Saute in large saucepan until crisp.
Add cabbage, 3 tablespoons water and salt.
Simmer, covered, over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Add grated apples.
Simmer for 5 minutes longer.
Garnish with apple wedges.
