Parmesan Bacon Spread
|Unsalted butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Chopped green onion||3 Tablespoon|
|Red pepper sauce||10 Drop|
Place bacon in 2- to 3-qt casserole.
Microwave at High 8 to 12 minutes, or until crisp.
Drain on paper towels.
Crumble; set aside.
In medium bowl combine butter and cream cheese.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) 30 to 60 seconds, or until butter softens.
Mix in crumbled bacon and remaining ingredients.
Line two small bowls with foil, flattening wrinkles.
If desired, lightly butter foil and coat with additional Parmesan cheese and paprika.
Spoon cheese-bacon mixture into foil.
Press into shape of bowls.
Freeze until firm.
Remove with foil from bowls.
Wrap separately, label and freeze no longer than 1 month.
To serve, unwrap one package and place on plate.
Microwave at 30% (Medium-Low) 1 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until slightly defrosted, taking care not to melt edge, and rotating 2 or 3 times.
Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve with crackers, if desired.
