1. Cook the bacon until crisp in a medium-size skillet; remove; drain.
2. While bacon cooks, pour just enough water into another medium-size skillet to cover the bottom; slip eggs, one at a time, into the pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper; cover.
3. Steam eggs slowly.
4. Spread each bun half with 1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine; top with a fried egg and two pieces of bacon.
