1. Arrange bacon slices on a microwave-oven-safe roast rack set in a 2-quart glass baking dish. Cover with paper towels. Cook in microwave oven.
2. Remove from microwave oven and let stand 1 to 2 minutes for crisp bacon.
3. If desired, when cooking 1 or 2 bacon slices at a time, use a paper-towel-lined paper plate.
