Asparagus amandine is a skillet cooked asparagus recipe meant to be served as a side in meals. Cooked in butter with lemon juice and almonds, the asparagus amandine is flavorful and delicious as a side with meats or fish.
|Fresh asparagus/2 boxes frozen asparagus, cooked||2 Pound, cooked|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Slivered almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
Drain cooked asparagus.
Melt butter in small skillet.
Cook almonds over low heat until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes; stir constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add salt and lemon juice; pour over hot asparagus
